With her feet on the ground and her head in the sky, Laura creates an endearing synthesis of illustration by mingling well-crafted ink and watercolor with lighthearted comic sensibilities.

In November 2008, Laura graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a bachelor's degree in Illustration and a minor degree in Sequential Art.

Tasha Tudor, Stan Sakai, Herge, and Eric Carle are among her favorite artists and influences. She loves getting messy with her art, adores sidewalk chalk, nand is currently working on a graphic novel.
